gnocode intends to be different than most technically focused groups. Most groups home in on a particular technology or other specific topic. We want to promote the entire software development ecosystem in New Orleans and that means involving as many participants and technologies as possible.
Programmers
This is likely our largest constituency. The group encourages programmers from all platforms, languages and environments.
Interface Developer/Designers
Whether you are building mobile phone interfaces or creating web applications designs, interface design plays an enormous role in software development.
System Administrators
If you are involved in deploying custom software, administering databases or are managing the network they all run on, there is plenty other developers can learn from you.
Project Managers
The approaches to managing software projects constantly evolve and every developer should know something about the techniques and tools of the art. If you are involved with the technical direction of a software project we hope you can share your insights with us as well.
